I couldn't help but smile when I saw my cute kids trying to help Grandpa in the garden last night. My sweet dad was trying to hard to teach the kids some new gardening skills and I can only hope they get their Grandpa's green thumb instead of their moms. I am also hoping that the poor cucumber plants survived the trampling they received as the kids ran around "looking for weeds to pick"! Oh how I love summer nights!

Pet Rock Fish
I think my kids have found the very best pets a mother could ask for. Right now many of you know we have this "lovely" dog Harley that the kids refuse to get rid of but don't actually pay any attention to...hence Harley has now become my dog (just what I wanted). Anyways, they are always asking if we could get another pet. The requests range from a rabbit, to a hampster, fish ect. and my constant reply is "No, sorry we can only have one pet at a time". But two days ago they actually came up with a pet I just couldn't say no to. They were working in the garden and they each picked up a few rocks and came running into the house screaming "Mom, we need water our new pet rock fishes can't breath unless they are in a bowl with water!!!!" I did everything I could not to wet my pants laughing. I rounded up three small tupperware containers filled them with water and whala...instant pet rock fish. I think I might actually have a new item to sell on ebay. I mean who wouldn't want a pet that requires no food, makes no noise, and can be "returned" at any moment. I should have thought of this a year ago when they were hanging on my leg begging for Harley!!!

Art Cty Days
Well today was our first official Art City Days parade since moving back home. It was the hottest day we have had so far this year...and my kids loved it! We had a great time watching all the floats and the kids came home with pockets full of candy, Popsicle stains on the shirts and a million Frisbees to throw at the dog. Straight from the mouth of Jackson "Today was the most awsomest day ever!!!" We are enjoying our new life here in Utah but hope all of our friends back home in Oregon and Las Vegas are enjoying their summer. As soon as we find a house we can't wait to have company.

Last Soccer Game
Last Days of School
Jackson had a few fun field trips at the end of the school year that I got to go on. We went to the local Pizza Parlor to see how things are made, and we went to the Enchanted forest, which is an amusement park designed around old fairy tales and nursery rhymes. It's kind of like Grimm Brothers meets Disneyland...FREAKY. But we had a good time anyway!!!
SOLD
Well it finally happened...we sold our house and officially moved to Utah. Although we are now homeless and living with my parents. Who would have guessed...almost 30, 3 kids, 1 dog and living with my parents. We are actively house hunting and hoping to find something soon. I have been a total slacker on my blog I am posting a ton of events that happened over the last month.

Priceless
Water Bottle $2.00
Cold Pizza $7.00
Raffle Tickets $12.00
A night at the school carnival without your husband....A DISASTER...oh I mean PRICELESS!!!
No, actually the kids had a wonderful time and you can see from their collection that they were very successful in collecting prizes. Steve happened to be out of town and was really sad he couldn't be there. Jackson is wearing a dinosaur mask and he refused to take it off to play any of the games; try throwing a ring on a two-liter bottle with that thing on...amazingly enough he actually won. The best part of the night was when Jackson decided to put on the new swimming goggles he won and march around the book fair saying..."hey guys like my new glasses, hey guys why is it so foggy in here, hey guys wait up!!!" That kid always makes me laugh.

Spring Break in Mexico!!!
We had an absolutely wonderful time in Mexico...aside from Kennedi getting strep-throat and Jackson having double ear infections. Thank heavens for an on-board infirmary. The pictures of Kelton and Jackson are just after they left the kids club. They LOVED spending time there, on this particular day they had just finished a pirate treasure hunt. Our family picture is on the beach in Mazatlan. The last picture of Kennedi is one of the few we have of her not sucking her thumb, she was pretty sick for most of the trip. I promise to post more info about our trip later but here are a few snap shots. I am still trying to learn how to put a slide show together so you can see more pictures at one time!!!

Life Comes At You Fast
I guess Allstate wasn't kidding when they said life comes at you fast. Kelton will be turning six in about 2 months and has officially "kicked me out". He came downstairs into the kitchen today and asked me how to spell "only" and "boys" and then told me he needed 2 pieces of tape. I played into the little game and got him what he needed and helped him with the spelling of the two words. A few minutes later I went upstairs to find this sign stuck to his door. On one hand I was crushed, on the other hand I was trying so hard not to laugh. He, along with Jackson and another neighbor friend informed me that the sign said "No moms allowed, only boys". If you look closely you can see a picture of what resembles a woman with a big slash over her. I asked if this was me, to which Kelton replied, "It's all moms, not just you." A few minutes later I asked if I could get something out of his room that Kennedi needed. He said "Sure mom, but only if you ask." Then I overheard him say to his friend, "It's okay if MY mom goes in my room". In my head I'm thinking "How many moms are coming in and out of your room?" I am hoping this is not the beginning of my teenage parenting years!

Easter Sunday
I am getting a lot of complaints about not posting our Easter outfits, so here they are. The Easter Bunny came to visit our house and for the most part everyone was happy. Except Jackson, apparently "the Bunny"brought the wrong action figure who just so happened to be a bad-guy and as Kelton informed us "no kid on earth wants to have a bad guy toy". We spent much of Sunday morning and most of Sunday afternoon trying to console Jackson and explain we could switch the toy on Monday. So hopefully the Easter Bunny gets it right next year! Sorry about the light on the photo we weren't dealing with the best photo subjects...to many Jelly Beans and not enough sleep!
Spring Soccer in Oregon
Today was our first day of spring soccer. I know you all wish you could have been a part of it. It was pouring rain and blowing wind. Steve was elected to be the "parent who got fired at", Kelton thought this was a great idea. You can't tell from the picture but Kelton is number 7. On the way to the soccer game the boys were going over strategy. Kelton said the best way to win is to "cuddle up with your teamates and make a plan", Steve and I couldn't help but bust out laughing, we quickly recovered and explained it was called a huddle, not a cuddle. Jackson also wanted Kelton to know that it was okay if he didn't win he would get to try again next Saturday. Kelton's team scored 2 goals, one of which Kelton assisted on and he also was responsible for blocking a goal. They don't actually keep score or even have a goalie. It is just six kids, three on each team, running around in 5 min. increments trying to kick the ball without falling over. We love every minutes of it! Enjoy the "Spring Showers...and hope for May flowers!"

The Egg Hunt
This morning we got the kids together for the first annual Ray's Supermarket Egg Hunt. The kids were filled with anticipation as we met the Easter Bunny, granted he was a little frightening and actually couldn't speak a word, but all Kennedi could talk about was the "bunny, bunny, bunny"! After this we hereded the kids over to the holding pen they called the "waiting zone" for the egg hunt. The flyer they sent home with the kids advertising the egg hunt promised hundreds of eggs and lots of "cool prizes". The picture above shows just how many eggs the kids got...incase you couldn't count that high they all came home with 1 egg, and as Jackson so kindly informed us, "This egg is so dumb it doesn't even have candy in it."(The egg was filled with egg shaped erasers). Needless to say the kids weren't overly thrilled with the local egg hunt so we decided to come home and have our own. We threw together a few eggs invited a few neighbor friends over and had one of the best easter egg hunts we have ever had! We hope you all had a wonderful day and we want to wish you all a happy easter!

My Artist
I just ran across these photos and even though this happened a few weeks ago I have to share. I had gotten up Sunday morning to work on church stuff and send a few emails when I heard a cute little voice announce they had just "colored Kelton and Jacksie", much to my surprise Kennedi took my hand and led me to the boys door where she colored a beautiful picture with a red crayon. Thank heavens for Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, I don't know if potential buyers would appreciate her art work as much as we do!
STAR WARS
We woke up today to find that we had been attacked by Darth Vader. The boys went to a birthday party on Saturday and came home fully-clad in star wars gear. Jackson has been wearing it constantly and even wondered if it would be okay to wear to church. We tried to remind him he wouldn't be able to "eat the bread" with the mask on. Nothing to exciting in our life right now, we are currenlty STILL trying to sell our home. So....if any one of you know someone trying to buy a home in North Albany Oregon, we can get them a fabulous deal on a great house. May the force be with you!!!!
P.S.
I have just spent FOREVER trying to turn this picture the right way and for some unknown reason I can not get it to turn. So rather than delete this whole post, I am going to publish it as is and hope that my cute sister Andrea can walk me through this tomorrow before any of you read this.
PPS. Andrea just did it without you. I will teach you later, I thought I would fix it really quick while I had a second!

KIDS!!!
I wanted to give a little update on our three kids so I tried to include a little photo and give some info on what they are up to...
Kennedi just started her first dance class which is hilarious to watch because it is a room full of about 6 girls ages 2-3 aimlessly wandering around with a bean bag while they try to dance to music called "The Bean Bag Boogie". She loves every minute of it and can't wait to go each week.
Jacksons latest trend is to dress up like a superhero and as you can see from the picture he has gotten very creative with his costumes. He is currently using underwear for a spiderman mask and any kid of blanket for a cape.
Kelton is still as mellow as ever and was recently the "Special K" person in his kindergarten class. He is doing really well in school and told us he wishes he could ride the bus all day long!
